Welcome to the Suzy Homesteader website.......... I'm excited that you're interests are some of mine. My goal is to help you find all the self-sufficient powers you possess! I enjoy teaching by example and am always ambitious to learn new things. I consider myself a "Jack of all Trades and Master of None" due to my abilities in becoming bored so easily as a "Domestic Engineer". Humor is the key to life and not taking yourself too seriously! Determined to mix old world knowledge with modern technology interests me and I have a true desire to get women back to the home-front with their children. I believe that our definitions of time-management and multi-tasking are far more "no-nonsense" than ever. It took the last 22 years in the Rockies to rediscover my common sense, instincts, creativity and talents (and mistakes). I started on the East Coast and lived on the West Coast before retreating to the mountains. Clean air, clean water and food, and clean livin' was my kind of place for raising my children. Here I found many skills that kept me multi-tasking while establishing my family and roots. From developing land and landscaping to building and carpentry. Raising livestock, animals, homeschooling, crafting and of course country cooking add to my list of daily plans. Trying to stay healthy, fit and have fun too are also challenging in everyday life of the Rockies! I'm very passionate about getting our next generation of dependent sons and daughters into the world with the right common knowledge, self-sufficiency and the real tools for a more independent future. I enjoy challenging myself on many levels and hope that my "Do-it-Yourself" attitude will motivate you to always feel like you can do anything you set your mind to......... "If you want something done... do it yourself"..... I hope to guide you in the right direction and set you on your own road to self-sufficiency......... so you too can pass it on. What did Darwin say?.... "It's not the smartest or the strongest that survive.... but the most adaptable"!........ WE CAN DO IT !
